The Profitability of Diversity & Inclusion

Retain Good Employees

When your organizational culture is inclusive, talented employees are more likely to stay, rather than search for a better atmosphere elsewhere.

Avoid Costly Mistakes

Invest in diversity & inclusion coaching before dealing with costly PR situations or lawsuits. The Starbucks incident cost them millions of dollars.

Widen Your Customer Base

The ethnic landscape of America is changing every day, which so are your potential customers. Representation matters to buyers.

The Power of Diversity & Inclusion

It's in the numbers

Credit Suisse compared 2,400 corporations from 2005 to 2011. Those with at least one woman on their board outperformed others by 26%. Stressed men take more risks due to hormones, whereas women make more advantageous decisions.

Hiring Diverse

In the book Blindspot, researchers found 75% of Americans display implicit bias. Applicants with white-sounding names received 50% more callbacks for interviews than those black sounding names, yet the exact same resume was used.

Self-Confidence

Studies show that African Americans value truth and directness over comfort. When you force others to conform to what you're comfortable with, it suppresses others freedom of expression which will effect employee retention.

Humble inquiry is the foundation of learning.
